ABOUT April
April Dahl is a co-founder of Dahl Dance, established in 2005. With over three decades of experience, she has cultivated expertise in various dance disciplines while coaching individuals, partnerships, and teams across all age groups. Holding a degree in Kinesiology from the University of Minnesota, April is also recognized as a postural alignment specialist, personal trainer, and Dance for Parkinson’s provider.
Furthermore, April is an AC certified Life Coach and Licensed Insights Practitioner. She has shared her insights and expertise as a guest speaker and educator for esteemed organizations such as the Prouty Project, Alice Mayo Society, Mayo Clinic's staff development DRIVE Leadership program, and the Cowles Center’s Dance without Barriers program.
Integrating her dance proficiency with coaching and leadership mentoring, April leverages her certifications to create dynamic coaching experiences for individuals and teams. Her focus lies in enhancing communication, unlocking creative potential, and fostering sustainable partnerships.
April's deep connection with Rochester, MN, her favorite city, is evident in her commitment to community engagement. Notably, she co-created the charity event "Dancing for the Arts," which has significantly impacted the local community by raising over $600K for arts education and experiences. In recognition of her contributions, April received the prestigious Jefferson Award in 2019.
In 2021, April assumed the role of Director of Event Coordination at J. Powers, prioritizing the unique needs of Mayo Clinic's event experiences. Her adeptness in connecting people and resources has enhanced over 300 local educational, celebratory, and fundraising events.
With a background in performance arts, April brings a creative perspective to problem-solving, consistently introducing innovative ideas. Beyond her professional pursuits, she enjoys dancing, reading, baking, hiking, snowboarding, and embarking on adventures in travel with her two adult children.
